Installation of your wood-stove

The installation of a wood-burner is subject to building control approval so if you decide to fit the stove yourself or get a local builder to do it for you, you will have to arrange for building control to visit your home and certify the installation. HETAS are the governing body for solid fuel installers and HETAS qualified installers are able to self-certify their installations thereby negating the need for building control sign-off.

We are able to offer the complete design, installation and HETAS certification service to customers in Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex, Berkshire, South London, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Bedfordshire.

If you live outside of this area please call us to see if we can recommend someone near you, or visit the HETAS website to find a qualified HETAS installer near to your home http://www.hetas.co.uk/

HETAS

HETAS is the independent body recognised by the Government, dedicated to setting and raising standards across the UK domestic solid fuel and wood burning sector.  HETAS works hard in areas relating to fuels, appliances, installers, maintenance engineers and chimney sweeps and supports this by working closely with the Government Departments DEFRA and DCLG, the British Standards Institute and EU standard setting bodies and non Government organisations such as the Renewable Energy Association, Energy Saving Trust and the Carbon Trust.  links
